Menorca Charity Players marked their 10th anniversary in the way that they know best this past weekend. The ballroom of the Casino Mahonés with its chandeliers was the opulent venue for a Theatre Dinner in which a tasty three-course meal was followed by a performance of "Last Tango in Little Grimley".
Appropriately this was a rerun of their very first production ten years previously. Three of the four members of the cast were also in the initial production – Chris Collman, Cathy Collman and Shirley Smith; Andy Sharpe replacing original cast member Mike Winch.
A thoroughly convincing and very entertaining performance by a talented cast that had the audience in stitches on both nights.
A total of 138 attended Friday and Saturday's performances, raising approximately 1500 euros for Age Concern and 300 euros for Club Vidalba. Chris Collman, speaking on behalf of Menorca Charity Players, thanked Lito, his family and staff for hosting the event in such wonderful surroundings and Gabriel Carreras of Club Vidalba for recording the event on film.
