The Rotary Club of Menorca are sending 9,000 euros (approximately 12,000 US$) to purchase LifeStraws for the flooding disaster in Pakistan. This will buy 2,100 LifeStraws which will be distributed by the organisation Medicins de Monde. The Club would like to thank OHL Medio Ambiente, Inima, S.A.U., as their offices in Madrid and Barcelona donated over 6,000 euros, the Rotary Club of Driffield, East Yorkshire for their 500 euro donation and the Rotaract Club of Keil Eider for their contribution of 1,000 euros.
The Club now has no money in the LifeStraw fund and is appealing for donations. Anyone who would like to contribute should contact Jorge Pozzi (689 309 486), Jaume Roca (608 069 832) or Colin Guanaria (616 492 837) or visit the Club's website at www.rotaryclubmenorca.org.
